15th European Congress of Veterinary Dentistry 2006
(22.09.2006) The most important event of the year in veterinary dentistry namely the 15th European Congress of Veterinary Dentistry took place in Queens College, Cambridge, UK between September 7 to 9th, 2006.

This years veterinary dental congress was held in the beautiful city of Cambridge. The city of Cambridge is an old English university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire.

It lies approximately 80 km north-northeast of London and is surrounded by a number of smaller towns and villages. It is also at the heart of the high-technology centre known as Silicon Fen and is one of the major constituent parts of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

Cambridge is best known for the University of Cambridge (Fig.1 and Fig.2), which includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library.

The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two, along with the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital in the far south of the city and St John's College Chapel tower in the north (Fig.3) and the University Church (Fig.4). A typical tourist attraction in Cambridge is a boat (Punt) trip called punting (Fig.5).

An impressive number of people were present in the auditorium of the beautiful academic building of Queens College in Cambridge, England. There was a very attractive program available for download in pdf format (see link). The Austrian team was represented by DDr. Stoian Camil and Mag. Tsani Ivanov (Fig.6) with a poster presentation entitled "Clinical results of a new treatment of feline gingivostomatitis with an immunemodulator (Zylexis®).

We were offered an excellent gala Dinner with live classical music and exquisite food. At the end of the conference we took a photo with our friends Vladimir Jekl from Brno, Czech Republic and Heidi Lobprise from Texas, USA (Fig.8).
